Thank you to everyone who came out to the campaign fundraiser on Wednesday night, we filled the place (even having to control the in's and out's!!) and truly rocked The Casbah. Big thanks to our hosts The Casbah, the fantastic musical talent line up and especially you the supporters for believing that Sandy Shaw will be the best choice for Ward 1.

One of the many great events throughout the year in Ward 1 is the Locke Street Festival - please take a moment to drop by our booth on Saturday 6th September.

The booth is at 231 Locke Street SW-35 (near Chatham)

Fundraiser - Sandy Shaw for Ward 1

An evening of fantastic entertainment has been lined up at the Casbah, as a fundraiser for the campaign with a great line up of local talent. At the recent campaign rally Tom Wilson of Blackie and the Rodeo Kings, and Lee Harvey Osmond

Labour Council Endorses Sandy Shaw for Ward 1

The Hamilton and District Labour Council is urging its affiliated union members who live in Ward 1 to vote for Sandy Shaw. Geoff Roman, the acting Labour Council President, says the endorsements can be helpful for busy unionists who may not have the time to fully research issues that are important to labour.

Campaign Rally Evening

Over 100 local neighbours, friends and supporters attended the evening campaign rally held at the Aberdeen Tavern on Aberdeen on Monday 18th August. 


Following introductions and her own personal reasons for wanting to run for council in Ward 1, Sandy Shaw spoke to her main platform topics; 

- Community Participation

- Affordable Neighbourhoods

- Sustainable & Balanced Growth

- Bright Future for Youth

Also news of an exciting night of music was announced as a campaign fundraiser by Tom Wilson of Lee Harvey Osmond.
